质量高达数十 TeV 的 sterile 中微子可以饱和当前无中微子双贝塔衰变过程的实验界限。由于更新了核矩阵元，质量和混合角的界限现在提高了一个数量级。我们对最小 Type I seesaw 情形下的无中微子双贝塔衰变进行了详细分析。我们表明，尽管朴素预期轻中微子会给出主要贡献，但 sterile 中微子仍可饱和当前无中微子双贝塔衰变过程的实验界限。然而，为了与轻中微子质量的辐射稳定性保持一致，sterile 中微子的质量标度应小于 10 GeV。
