HD 181068:一个处于三重食致密层级三合系统中的红巨星

摘要

层级三合系统由一个密近双星和一个较远的伴星组成。它们对于检验恒星形成理论以及在邻近伴星存在下的恒星演化理论至关重要。我们获得了 HD 181068(星等为 7.1)长达 218 天的 Kepler 测光数据,并辅以地基光谱学和干涉测量数据,结果显示它是一个具有两种相互食现象的层级三合系统。主星是一颗红巨星,它与一对处于 0.9 天密近轨道上的红矮星共同运行在 45 天的轨道上。该红巨星显示出由密近双星轨道运动驱动的潮汐诱导振荡证据。HD 181068 是研究层级三合系统动力学演化及检验潮汐摩擦理论的理想目标。
