摘要
我们报告对 Geminga 中子星的深度 (100 ksec) XMM-Newton/EPIC 观测结果。仪器的空前吞吞量使我们能够检测到两条沿中子星运动方向延伸约 2 分弧分钟的平行 X 射线尾巴。它们具有非热谱，由中子星风与周围介质之间的冲击波中电子的自旋同步辐射产生。自旋同步冷却的电子寿命与中子星穿过 X 射线特征长度的时间相符。这种 X 射线检测到的中子星冲击波允许我们衡量中子星电子注入能量和冲击波磁场，同时约束 Geminga 运动角度和局部物质密度。我们还提供了对约 63,000 颗光子进行的计时与光谱分析的初步结果。
