Be/脉冲星双星1A 0535+262在巨X射线爆发期间的伽马射线观测

巨X射线爆发(光度约10^{37} erg s^{-1})大约每5年从附近的Be/脉冲星双星1A 0535+262观测到一次。本文中,我们介绍了由2009年12月X射线爆发触发的、使用VERITAS在甚高能(VHE;E>100 GeV)对该源的观测。观测在爆发开始后不久启动,并提供了对该事件以及111天双星轨道的全面覆盖。在任何时候都没有明显的VHE发射。我们还检查了同时期使用Fermi/LAT在高能光子(HE;E>0.1 GeV)对1A 0535+262的观测数据,但未能在GeV能量探测到该源。使用Swift/XRT和RXTE/PCA测量的X射线连续谱可以很好地由黑体和热电子康普顿化发射的组合来描述。因此,伽马射线和X射线观测表明系统中缺乏显著的非热粒子布居。这使1A 0535+262区别于那些在GeV-TeV能量被探测到的Be X射线双星(如PSR B1259-63和LS I +61°303)。我们讨论了这些结果对理论模型的意义。
