摘要
Gaia 任务的最终天体测量数据将改变我们对银河系恒星组成的认识，尤其是在结合提供恒星参数、视线运动学及元素丰度的光谱巡天时。基于 Gaia DR1 的分析已经展示了所获得的洞见以及未来 Gaia 数据发布所带来的前景。为提供背景，我简要概述了近期银河系考古学巡天的结果与谜题，重点关注银河系盘。
