银河星系星际演化史

摘要
银河系的形成与演化历史可从星际空间分布、运动学、年龄和化学丰度分布中间接得知。通过这份化石记录，可原则上提取出不同成分的星形成历史、化学演化过程、初始质量函数、以及合并历史——哪些星体何时被合并——并与理论模型进行比较。观测结果正在引导模型发展，我们正处于令人兴奋的时代。
