Gaia数据发布3:太阳系小天体的反射光谱

欧洲空间局(ESA)的Gaia任务自2014年8月运行开始便持续观测太阳系天体(SSOs)。Gaia第三次数据发布(DR3)首次包含了在2014年8月5日至2017年5月28日期间观测到的精选样本共60 518个SSO(主要为小行星)的平均反射光谱。每个反射光谱由蓝、红光度计(BP/RP)测量得到,并被分箱为16个离散波长带。我们描述了Gaia的SSO光谱数据处理,解释了用于筛选Gaia DR3中发布的小行星光谱子集的准则,以及内部验证流程的各步骤。为进一步评估Gaia SSO反射光谱的质量,我们对照文献中基于地基与天基望远镜获得的SSO反射光谱进行了外部验证。对每个所选SSO,通过将BP/RP在焦平面上每次过境观测的校准光谱除以太阳类比星的平均光谱,计算出历元反射率。后者通过对已知光谱与太阳极为相似的精选恒星样本的Gaia光谱测量值取平均得到。最后,对每个SSO在16个光谱带中计算历元反射光谱的平均值。对于明亮SSO,无论其分类光谱类型如何,Gaia平均反射光谱与文献值均吻合良好。我们识别出S型SSO的光谱斜率随相位角增大而增加。此外,我们表明随着S型小行星族年龄增大,光谱斜率增加且1微米吸收带深度减小。
