对可特别细致考察的邻近大型星系的观测表明,许多星系在核球与晕中的恒星光度分数很小。星系形成模拟往往会在模型核球、恒星晕中,更一般地在严重偏离圆轨道的轨道上产生大得多的星粒分数。通过一种在星系尺度上非高斯初始条件的方案,这一状况或可得以改善。
