R Coronae Borealis 星与极端氦星中的氟

在几颗 R Coronae Borealis 星 (RCBs) 处于最大亮度时的光学光谱中识别出了中性氟线。这些谱线提供了对这些恒星中氟丰度的首次测量。相对于其可能的初始丰度，部分 RCBs 中的氟富集了 800 至 8000 倍。氟的超丰度是氟合成发生的证据。结合 RCBs 由 C-O 白矮星吸积 He 白矮星形成的假说，对这些结果进行了讨论。作为最终 He 壳层闪燃产物的 Sakurai 天体 (V4334 Sgr) 未显示出可探测的中性氟线。
