M83 从 GALEX UV 成像得到的消光径向轮廓

我们利用 GALEX 获取的 M83 的远紫外 (FUV) 和近紫外 (NUV) 图像,计算出星际形成盘中 UV 光谱斜率的径向轮廓。我们简要介绍了其化学演化模型,以获取星际暴露于的真实特性。使用衍生数据,我们还计算了 H-alpha/H-beta 和总红外 (TIR) 至 FUV 比值的轮廓。将数据和模型一起用于估计并比较由各种指示器获得的 FUV 波长处的消光梯度。我们讨论了对于星际形成率的确定的含义。
