我们描述了一项通过合并六束由新设计的轮廓间隙同轴等离子体枪发射的超音速等离子体射流,来形成并表征球向内爆等离子体衬层截面的实验。该实验是形成由数十个等离子体枪构成的完整球向内爆等离子体衬层的前奏,旨在作为等离子体射流驱动磁惯性聚变的间隔驱动器。六射流实验的目标是评估衬层 Mach 数和均匀性的演化与标度,这些是球向内爆等离子体衬层将磁化靶等离子体压缩至聚变条件的重要指标。本文描述了同轴等离子体枪的设计、等离子体射流的实验表征、六射流实验装置与诊断、三射流和六射流实验的初始诊断数据,以及相关数值建模的高层目标。
