我们研究了作为 PEP 和 HerMES 关键项目一部分、由赫歇尔空间天文台在大天文台起源深度巡天北天区观测到的红移范围 0.1<z<2.8 内星系的尘埃性质。星系的红外(IR)光度(L_IR)和尘埃温度(T_dust)是通过对赫歇尔上搭载的 PACS 和 SPIRE 仪器获得的远红外(FIR)流量密度进行光谱能量分布(SED)拟合推导出来的。作为参考样本,我们还利用斯隆数字巡天天区中的 AKARI 和 IRAS 数据,获得了 z<0.1 处局部星系的红外光度和尘埃温度。我们比较了两个样本间的 L_IR-T_dust 关系,发现:在 z>0.5 且 L_IR>5x10^{10} L_\odot 的赫歇尔选源星系中,其中位 T_dust 似乎比具有相似光度的 AKARI 选源局部星系冷 2-5 K;并且由于存在局部星系中未见的冷星系,高红移星系的 T_dust 离散度随 L_IR 的增加而增大。我们表明,L_IR-T_dust 关系的这种大离散度可以弥合局部恒星形成星系与高红移亚毫米星系(SMGs)之间的差距。我们还发现,本研究涵盖的3个具有极低 T_dust(<20 K)的 SMG 具有相近亮度的 24-\mum 邻近源,这可能导致对这些 SMG 的 FIR/(亚)毫米流量估值过高。
