Swift X射线后glow中内在吸收的证据

Gamma 射线暴(GRB)的前体星体与巨型星的死亡实质上相关联。对GRB后glow的X射线研究可以深化我们对GRB环境物质电离状态和金属丰度的了解。此外,局部物质的存在可通过其在X射线光谱中的特征(即高于银河坐标系值的吸收)来推断。基于BeppoSAX和XMM-Newton的若干研究发现,多个GRB后glow的柱密度值高于银河值。本文报告了对17个于2005年4月15日前由Swift观测到的GRB进行系统性分析的结果。我们观察到大量GRB具有柱密度的超出值。该样本联合先前对已知红移GRB的内在柱密度确定值,提供了与随机位于分子云中GRB的吸收分布相一致的证据。
