使用GATE软件包估算J-PET断层扫描仪的NEMA特性

摘要

基于塑料闪烁体的新型全身PET系统由{J-PET}合作组开发。它由轴向排列成圆柱形的塑料闪烁体条构成,可实现具成本效益的全身PET构建。为确定扫描仪原型的特性并优化其几何结构,使用GATE软件进行了先进的计算机模拟。根据NEMA规范,估算了空间分辨率、灵敏度、散射分数与噪声等效计数率随断层扫描仪长度、探测层数目、断层扫描室直径以及各类所采用读出方式的函数关系。对于直径85 cm、条长100 cm、截面4 mm x 20 mm且以带额外波长移位层硅光电倍增管作为读出的单层几何,扫描仪中心处的空间分辨率(FWHM)为3 mm(径向、切向)与6 mm(轴向)。对于采用相同读出、直径与闪烁体长度的类似双层几何,条截面为7 mm x 20 mm,NECR峰值在40 kBq/cc活度浓度处达300 kcps,散射分数估计约35%,中心灵敏度达14.9 cps/kBq。同时也确定了灵敏度曲线。
