嵌入光纤的闪烁计数器中光收集的束流研究

摘要
通过最小电离电子扫描,研究了嵌入盒状塑料闪烁计数器中若干光纤构型的集光特性。光由两端硅光电倍增管读出。美因茨微tron(Mainz Microtron)855-MeV 束流产生的光产额,对束流位置到光纤的横向距离表现出强烈依赖。将计数器内部间接光与到达光纤的直接光的总光产额归因,可对观测结果建模。将带光纤的集光情况与无光纤闪烁计数器进行比较。这些研究是在研发塑料闪烁探测器作为 DarkMESA 电子束流倾倒实验主动否决系统的背景下开展的,该实验将在 MeV 质量区间搜寻轻暗物质粒子。
