开发 1-45 GeV 动能电子束

摘要

在俄罗斯普尔维诺的 U70 加速器上 setup 了一个能量在 1 到 45 GeV 范围内的电子束线,Hadron 和 μ 子的杂质水平低,且在 27 GeV 时的强度可达 10^6 个/加速器溢射。基于 160 微米分辨率的漂移探测器的束流标记系统能够精确测量相对电子束动能。45 GeV 时的动能分辨率 sigma_p/p 为 0.13%,此时多散射可忽略不计。该 test beam setup 提供了研究 PbWO_4 晶体性能的可能性,后者用于 Fermilab 的 BTeV 实验。
