大容量液体芳慕探测器 LENA（Low Energy Neutrino Astronomy）将提供高质量的背景消除能力，使其能够在约 10 到 25 MeV 的几乎无背景的能量窗口中检测 diffuse 超新星中子星 (DSN)。在十年的观测时间内，将可能对核心崩溃超新星模型以及银河系内至红移 z<2 处的超新星率进行显著约束。
