脉冲星 J1709-4429 中一次自转突变事件的探测

摘要

我们报告了利用 Molonglo 天文台综合望远镜(UTMOST)在常规监测观测中探测到脉冲星 J1709-4429(亦称 B1706-44)的一次自转突变(glitch)事件。该突变是在计时操作中发现的,我们以高达每日的观测频率定期观测超过 400 颗脉冲星,同时兼搜旋转射电瞬变源、脉冲星和快速射电暴(FRB)。此处报告的突变分数大小为 Δν/ν52.4×109\Delta\nu/\nu \approx 52.4 \times10^{-9},是该脉冲星迄今已知最小的突变,证明了利用 UTMOST 进行高频率自转突变搜寻的有效性。
