通过星系团透镜探测与研究高红移星系

摘要
我们讨论了一种利用星系团透镜的引力放大效应来构建和研究红移为2<z<5的遥远星系的方法。候选星系通过在大波长范围内的光度红移估计，选定于高红移处于临界线附近。相对于其他方法，此程序通过约1个magnitude的星系团放大，允许减少对亮度和活跃星际化学强度的选择偏差。本文提出并讨论了使用此技术获得的一些新结果。
