壳型超新星遗迹 RCW 86 的详细能谱与形态分析

摘要

目标:我们旨在理解超新星遗迹 RCW~86 的形态与能谱性质,并深入探究导致其甚高能伽马射线辐射的产生机制。方法:我们分析了高能立体望远镜系统(High Energy Spectroscopic System,即 H.E.S.S.)的数据,其灵敏度相较于 RCW~86 H.E.S.S. 发现论文中给出的观测有所提升。我们研究了 0.5-1~keV X射线波段、2-5~keV X射线波段、射电与伽马射线辐射之间的形态相关性,并利用两种不同的辐射模型对谱能量分布进行了宽带建模。结果:基于我们的形态研究,我们给出了 TeV 伽马射线辐射区呈壳状的首个决定性证据。与 2-5~keV X射线数据比较揭示其与 0.4-50~TeV 伽马射线辐射相关。RCW~86 的能谱最好用带有指数截断的幂律描述,截断能量 Ecut=(3.5±1.2stat)E_{cut}=(3.5\pm 1.2_{stat}) TeV,谱指数 Γ\Gamma~1.6±0.21.6\pm 0.2。静态轻子单区模型充分描述了 RCW~86 的实测谱能量分布,所得高于 1 GeV 的电子总动能相当于 Ia 型超新星爆发初始动能的 \sim0.1\%。当使用强子模型时,需要 BB~100μ\muG 的磁场来表征实测数据。尽管这与先前发表的估计相当,但质子的标准 E2^{-2} 分布谱无法描述伽马射线数据。相反,需要谱指数 Γp\Gamma_p~1.7,这意味着约 7×1049/ncm37\times 10^{49}/n_{cm^{-3}}erg 的能量被转移给高能质子,有效密度 ncm3=n/1n_{cm^{-3}}=n/ 1 cm^-3。在密度 1~cm^-3 的假设下,这约为典型 Ia 型超新星动能的 10\%。
