POLAR-2 宽带能谱仪探测器的设计与初步性能研究

摘要

POLAR-2 是中国天宫二号空间实验室搭载的 POLAR 实验的继任者,计划部署于中国空间站。继 POLAR 对伽马射线暴 (GRB) 瞬发辐射的开创性精确偏振测量之后,POLAR-2 任务旨在对高能瞬变源进行高精度偏振测量,重点关注 GRB。POLAR-2 的一项关键进展是加入了专用的宽带能谱仪探测器 (BSD),旨在提供 GRB 位置和能谱参数的精确测量,这些是 POLAR-2 专用高能偏振探测器 (HPD) 进行准确偏振分析的关键输入,后者由塑料闪烁体棒阵列组成。BSD 采用编码孔径掩模成像技术和像素化 GAGG 闪烁晶体,提供约 132{\deg} x 125{\deg} 的宽半编码视场和 10-1000 keV 的工作能段。模拟结果表明,对于类似于 GRB 170817A 的暗弱 GRB,该仪器可实现约 1.5{\deg} 的定位精度,满足 HPD 进行 GRB 偏振测量的核心要求。BSD 还具有适度的 GRB 偏振测量能力,特别是在数百 keV 能量处。本文概述了 BSD 的初步设计,并基于广泛的蒙特卡罗模拟和初步地面定标测试,对其预期的科学性能进行了全面评估。
