POLAR探测器是一个基于空间的伽马射线暴(GRB)偏振仪,具有宽视场,覆盖近半个天空。该仪器利用伽马射线在塑料闪烁体量能器上的康普顿散射来测量入射光子的偏振。该仪器已于2016年9月15日成功搭载在中国空间实验室天宫二号上发射。本文描述了该仪器组件的建造过程。详细说明了建造阶段遇到的问题及其解决方案。该仪器在轨的初始性能与地面测试和蒙特卡罗模拟的预期相符。
