ICARUS T600新型闪烁光探测系统的设计与实现

摘要

ICARUS T600是费米实验室(美国)短基线中微子项目的远探测器,该项目在Booster中微子束线上布置三个液氩时间投影室以搜寻类LSND惰性中微子信号。T600探测器在CERN经历了重大检修过程,在保持已有性能的同时引入了新技术发展。实现新型液氩闪烁光探测系统是探测器检修的一项主要任务。由于探测器将承受巨大的宇宙射线通量,光探测系统应允许对事件进行三维重建,以助于束流溢出门内中微子相互作用的识别。本文描述了ICARUS T600新型闪烁光探测系统的设计与实现。
