使用约瑟夫森行波参量放大器搜寻暗物质轴子

摘要

我们给出了轴子类粒子暗物质的新的排除界限,在 4796.7--4799.5 MHz 频率范围内,轴子-光子耦合高于 1013\mathrm{10^{-13}} GeV1\mathrm{GeV^{-1}},对应于以 19.84 μ\mueV 为中心的窄轴子质量范围。该测量代表了约瑟夫森行波参量放大器(JTWPA)在暗物质搜寻中的首次实现。JTWPA 在轴子暗物质实验(ADMX)的插入段中运行,作为连接至 0.588 升腔体的独立接收机链的一部分。JTWPA 在宽(3 GHz)带宽上提供高增益的能力,已引起旨在进行宽带轴子搜寻的研究者的兴趣,这是该领域长期以来的目标。
