摘要
我们介绍 Cryoscope——一台新型 50 平方弧度视场、1.2 米口径、位于南极 Dome C 处的 调制天文台。Cryoscope 采用创新的光学-热设计,整个天文台均被制冷。该仪器还探索了新的探测器技术,以经济有效地覆盖整个焦平面。利用南极的暗淡天空并最小化天文台热辐射,Cryoscope 实现了前所未有的深层、宽幅、快速且红色观测,达到甚至超过 Ultraviolet Explorer、 Vera Rubin Observatory、Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope、SPHEREx 和 NEO Surveyor 等仪器的体积扫描速度。通过覆盖 2 微米以上的波段,我们旨在构建对宇宙最隐蔽领域最全面的动态电影。Cryoscope 将成为探索电磁辐射来自引力波源、类似地球的系外行星以及时间域、恒星和太阳系科学等多个方面的专用发现引擎。本文描述了该新发现引擎在 波段的科学动因与技术创新、为何选择在南极部署,以及计划在 2026 年12月部署作为探险者计划的第五比例原型,以在大规模实施前消除技术风险。我们计划于 2030 年部署全尺寸天文台。
