逆行潮汐碎片作为银河系 DoS 的起源

摘要
银河系的卫星星系表现出与标准星系形成情景不符的相空间分布。这强烈暗示它们具有潮汐起源,从而可以自然地解释它们在卫星盘中的空间分布。本文表明,它们的轨道方向同样可以通过星系碰撞的碎片来再现。在并合与近距飞越相互作用中,顺行与逆行卫星都会自然地形成。
