利用高红移 21 厘米谱线研究宇宙学

摘要

除了作为宇宙黎明与再电离时代的天体物理探针外,z>6z>6 的 21 厘米谱线也是约束宇宙学的有力手段。其威力源于若干独特能力。首先,21 厘米谱线对高红移下注入星系际介质的能量敏感。与现有宇宙学探针相比,它还使可测模的数量增加数个量级。其中许多模处于比 CMB 可及的更小尺度,且具备稳固处于线性区(便于理论建模)的优势。最后,21 厘米谱线可探测早于发光天体形成的红移。综上,z>6z>6 的 21 厘米宇宙学这些特征提供了通向精确宇宙学约束的多条路径。包括将天体物理效应“边缘化消去”、利用红移空间畸变、打破 CMB 简并、识别重子与暗物质间相对速度 signatures,以及发现高红移处超出 Λ\LambdaCDM 范式之外的意外物理迹象。
