通过将多重碎裂过程的阿伦尼乌斯型图定义为单碎片发射概率（-ln(p_{b}) 对 1/sqrt(E_{t})）的横能依赖关系，并通过考察参数 p_{b} 和 E_{t} 与中等质量碎片多重度 <n> 的关系，研究了此类图。这些图的线性反映了碎片多重度与横能的关联。这些图可能并不像早先所暗示的那样提供关于碎片产生的热标度信息。
