TRIUMF原子与核科学离子阱中的碰撞诱导解离

摘要

放射性同位素的高精度质谱性能常受到大量污染的阻碍,包括源自放射性束产生的分子种类。在本文中,我们报道了碰撞诱导解离(CID)作为TRIUMF原子与核科学离子阱(TITAN)实验背景抑制手段的发展。本研究旨在表征放射性离子束的质量与纯度,并减少分子污染物,以使放射性同位素的质量测量能够在更远离核稳定性的情况下进行。这是在ISOL型放射性离子束设施中CID的首次演示,并且表明分子污染可降低多达一个数量级。
