凯撒星测数据使我们得以在太阳邻域识别出大量簇星。我们讨论了关于这些簇星质量、年龄、颜色、星等和金属丰度分布的最新认识。我们指出，簇星的年龄分布倾向于偏向中间年龄。因此，簇星所包含的金属信息与当地G型恒星提供的金属信息不同。由于精确的元素丰度确定方法即将可用，这些信息可能为局部盘的化学进化模型提供有用的约束。
