利用Climate TRACE弥合排放监测中的空白

摘要

全球温室气体排放估算对于监测和缓解规划至关重要。然而,大多数数据集缺乏增强其可操作性的一个或多个特征,如准确性、全球覆盖、高时空分辨率和频繁更新。为弥补这些空白,我们推出了Climate TRACE(climatetrace.org),一个开放获取平台,提供具有增强细节、覆盖范围和及时性的全球排放估算。Climate TRACE综合现有排放数据,优先考虑准确性、覆盖范围和分辨率,并利用特定行业的方法填补空白。该数据集首次为所有人造排放源(例如单个发电厂)提供了全球全面的排放估算,涵盖所有人为排放部门。数据集涵盖2021年1月至今,报告延迟两个月并按月更新。开放获取平台使非技术受众能够参与全球大多数次国家政府的详细排放数据集。Climate TRACE支持在决策制定的规模上进行数据驱动的气候行动,代表了排放核算和缓解领域的重大突破。
