$\langle E_{\nu}\rangle$= 4.0 GeV 时 $\nu_\mu$ 与碳氢化合物相互作用中的带电π介子产生

利用费米实验室 NuMI 宽能谱中微子束照射下的 MINERvA 探测器,研究了塑料(CH)上通过带电流 相互作用产生的带电π介子。选取强子不变质量 W 1.4 GeV 的事例以隔离单π介子产生过程,该过程预计主要通过 共振发生。报告了作为π介子产生角和动能函数的截面,并将其与能量范围从 1.5 GeV 到 10 GeV 的中微子的不同理论计算和基于发生器(generator-based)模型的预测进行了比较。数据最符合那些包含显著π介子核内再散射(intranuclear rescattering)贡献的计算结果。这些测量限制了初级相互作用速率以及末态相互作用在π介子产生中的作用,这两者都需要被中微子振荡实验充分理解。
