刻画 K2 任务发现的行星:一颗凌越亮 K 矮星 HIP 116454 的超等地球

摘要

我们报告了双轮开普勒(K2)任务的首个行星发现:HIP 116454 b。其宿主恒星 HIP 116454 是一颗明亮(V = 10.1, K = 8.0)的 K1 矮星,具有高自行,基于视差的距离为 55.2 ± 5.4 pc。根据高分辨率光学光谱,我们发现该宿主恒星金属丰度较低,[Fe/H] = -.16 ± .18,半径 R = 0.716 ± .0024 R_sun,质量 M = .775 ± .027 M_sun。该恒星于 2014 年 2 月在开普勒航天器的双轮概念工程测试期间被观测。在 9 天的观测中,K2 观测到了一次单一的凌星事件。使用一种新的 K2 测光分析技术,我们能够校正微小的望远镜漂移,并以高置信度恢复出观测到的凌星,对应行星半径 Rp = 2.53 ± 0.18 R_earth。HARPS-N 光谱仪的径向速度观测揭示了一颗质量为 11.82 ± 1.33 M_earth、轨道周期为 9.1 天的行星,与凌星深度、持续时间和星历表一致。来自 MOST 卫星的后续测光测量确认了 K2 测光中观测到的凌星,并提供了更精确的星历表,使得 HIP 116454 b 成为这颗最新加入的、围绕邻近亮星的凌星超等地球不断增长群体中一颗适宜未来后续观测的目标。
