超沸腾(气泡)探测器响应特性

摘要

PICASSO 项目是一项冷暗物质 (CDM) 搜索实验,采用超沸腾滴�技术。该探测器使用分散并被束缚在聚合凝胶中的超沸腾氟化物滴�(活性材料)。这种检测技术基于超沸腾滴在室温或中等温度下的相变。相变由核回波引起,当这些回波与粒子相互作用时发生,包括如超对称模型所预测的中性子 (neutralino) 等 CDM 候选者。针对该技术的适用性,经过多年在不同组成和体积的探测器上进行的研发与测试已予以证明。 presented along with corresponding data obtained at the Montreal Laboratory. 用于理解探测器对中子和 α 粒子响应的模拟也被呈现。
