ReD 实验使用由 Cf-252 裂变源产生的中子照射的双相 Time Projection Chamber,测量了氦气在 2-10 keV 范围内的核 recoils 的 ionizaton yield Qy。该测量扩展了 7 keV 以下的覆盖范围,确认了 7 keV 以上数据与先前结果的一致性,并指出较低能量处的 Qy 更高。这些结果对于寻找以低质量 Weakly Interacting Massive Particles 形式的暗物质的氦气基实验非常重要,这类实验对该能量范围内探测器响应建模极为敏感。
