造父变星作为银河系盘面金属丰度梯度的示踪物

摘要
我们基于高分辨率光谱测量了 34 颗银河系造父变星的铁丰度，并基于近红外测光确定了其精确距离。利用新数据约束了外盘（即 10 至 14 kpc 范围内）的银河系铁丰度梯度。我们证实了梯度在外盘区域趋于平坦。在该区域，我们还发现金属丰度弥散度有所增加。现有数据不支持在银心距约 10-12 kpc 处金属丰度梯度存在突变的观点。
