CALIFA,Calar Alto Legacy Integral Field Area巡天:IV. 第三次公开数据发布

本文描述了Calar Alto Legacy Integral Field Area (CALIFA)巡天的第三次公开数据发布(DR3)。667个星系的科学级质量数据被公开,包括第二次公开数据发布(DR2)的200个星系。数据使用安装在Calar Alto天文台3.5米望远镜上的积分视场光谱仪PMAS/PPak获得。有三种不同的光谱设置可用:i) 低分辨率V500设置,覆盖波长范围3749-7500 AA(无渐晕4240-7140 AA),光谱分辨率6.0 AA(FWHM),用于646个星系;ii) 中分辨率V1200设置,覆盖波长范围3650-4840 AA(无渐晕3650-4620 AA),光谱分辨率2.3 AA(FWHM),用于484个星系;iii) 两种设置的数据立方组合(称为COMBO),光谱分辨率6.0 AA,波长范围3700-7500 AA(无渐晕3700-7140 AA),用于446个星系。根据CALIFA巡天策略选样和观测的主样本覆盖红移范围0.005至0.03,跨越颜色-星等图,并探测广泛的恒星质量、电离条件和形态类型。扩展样本涵盖在总星系群体中罕见因而在CALIFA主样本中数量不多或缺失的几种星系类型。数据发布中的所有数据立方均使用最新管道处理,其中包括改进版的校准帧以及进一步提升的图像重建质量。总计,第三次数据发布包含1576个数据立方,包括约150万条独立光谱。数据可在 http://califa.caha.es/DR3 获取。
