矮不规则星系 Leo A 中的亮红星

摘要
我们利用 Subaru/Suprime-Cam（、、、、）和 HST/ACS（ 与 ）仪器获得的彩色测光数据分析了矮不规则星系 Leo A 中的亮红（BR）星族。为分离银河系（MW）与 Leo A 的红星族，我们开发了一种测光方法，使我们能够研究 Leo A 星系内 BR 星的空间分布。我们发现“年轻”与“年老”红巨分支（RGB）星径向分布的尺度长度（S-L）存在显著差异——分别为 和 。此外，我们测定 BR 星的 S-L 为 ，与“年轻”RGB 星极为吻合。另外，我们在 Leo A 星系中发现了一列特殊 RGB 星和 8 颗尘埃包裹星。
