M31中一个超亮恒星质量微类星体的明亮射电发射

摘要

一部分超亮X射线源(光度<10^40 erg/s)被认为是由气体吸积到质量约为5-20 M_solar的黑洞上驱动的,可能通过吸积盘。在银河系源中,X射线和射电发射是耦合的,射电发射起源于相对论性喷流,被认为是从黑洞附近的最内部区域发射的,最强大的发射发生在下落物质速率接近理论最大值(爱丁顿极限)时。在银河系中只已知四个这样的最大源,并且星际介质对软X射线的吸收阻碍了确定导致喷流抛射的因果序列。这里我们报告了对邻近星系M31中一个明亮新X射线源的射电和X射线观测,其峰值光度可超过10^39 erg/s。射电光度极高,并在数十分钟的时间尺度上表现出变化,表明该源高度致密,并由接近爱丁顿极限的吸积驱动到一个恒星质量黑洞上。对此类源的持续射电和X射线监测应能揭示吸积流与强大喷流发射之间的因果关系。
