外部星系中的黑洞态

摘要
目前已知外部星系中存在大量超亮 X 射线源，但关于其本质的讨论仍未定论：是中等质量黑洞，还是以超过爱丁顿极限吸积的恒星质量黑洞？一条有望提供答案的途径是通过与“正常”恒星质量黑洞进行比较。这些黑洞展现出不同的状态，可通过其能谱和快速光变来识别。尽管这些状态及其转变的本质尚不明确，但这种比较可能极为有用。本文简要概述了我们目前对这些状态的唯象认识，并（部分）介绍了为进行这些比较所采用的不同方法。
