BICEP/Keck XXI:基于多倍率相关偏振性对早晴宇宙奇偶性违反的约束

摘要

我们首次提出了利用 BK18 数据集对多倍率相关 cosmic birefringence(宇宙偏振双折射)进行约束。该数据集融合了 BICEP2、Keck Array 和 BICEP3 在 95、150 和 220 GHz 频率的观测数据。光子与类似轴子场的耦合会导致 CMB 偏振旋转,从而诱导出非零的 EB 交叉相关。我们表明,多倍率相关旋转 β(l)\beta(l) 在偏振谱中留下独特的特征,可被约束。具体而言,我们考虑一种早期暗能量(Early Dark Energy, EDE)情景,其中准标量场通过 Chern-Simons 相互作用与光子耦合,产生具有多倍率依赖性的偏振旋转。我们引入一种作为阶梯函数的现象学 β(l)\beta(l),得到该阶梯函数大小的约束(与零一致),其不确定性小于 0.15 度(68% 置信区间)。此外,利用多频率的 EE、BB 和 EB 交叉谱,结合稳健的 BICEP/Keck 前景处理和似然框架,我们对轴子-光子耦合强度 gg 进行约束。对于基于 Planck 2018 分析的最佳拟合值 fEDE=0.087f_{EDE} = 0.087,我们得到 g=0.11±0.37g = 0.11 \pm 0.37(68% 置信区间),与先前的限制相符。
