扭转单壁碳纳米管的原子分辨STM成像

摘要
我们展示了嵌入在晶体纳米管绳中的单壁碳纳米管（SWNTs）的原子分辨STM图像。虽然这些图像可能被解释为手性纳米管，但更一致的解释是具有淬灭扭转畸变的非手性扶手椅型管。SWNTs在绳中存在淬灭扭转可能解释了为什么生长的块体纳米管材料和单独的绳在低温下都具有类绝缘体的导电性。
