AWAKE 实验中质子束团参数分析

摘要
为了精确模拟先进尾场实验(AWAKE)中的自调制过程,需要对入射质子束团参数进行精确表征。本文对 AWAKE Run 1 数据采集后期所使用的入射质子束团参数进行了分析。利用闪烁体或光学渡越辐射屏幕,在束线上多个位置观测了束团的横向结构。采用贝叶斯推断,拟合了一个描述束团横向尺寸和发散度的模型参数,以表征观测数据。该分析先在模拟数据上进行了测试,然后应用于实验数据。
