宜居带内一颗围绕冷恒星运行的地球大小行星

摘要

寻找类地行星是当前系外行星研究的主要焦点。虽然已探测到地球大小及更小的行星,但这些行星的轨道距离其宿主恒星过近,无法在其表面存在液态水。我们报告了 Kepler-186f 的探测结果,这是一颗半径为 1.11±0.141.11\pm0.14 地球半径的行星,它是环绕一颗 0.47±0.050.47\pm0.05 RR_{\odot} 恒星运行的五颗行星中最外侧的一颗,这五颗行星的大小均大致与地球相当。该恒星辐射的强度和光谱将 Kepler-186f 置于恒星宜居带内,这意味着如果 Kepler-186f 拥有类地大气且表面存在 H2O,那么其中部分 H2O 很可能呈液态。
