Einstein Probe 发现的外星类快速 X 射线瞬时现象的光学对称搜索

摘要

外星类快速 X 射线瞬时现象(eFXTs)代表了快速增长的高能现象,其物理起源仍鲜有了解。凭借其宽视场、灵敏的全天候监测,Einstein Probe(EP)大大提高了 eFXTs 的发现率。对 eFXT 光学对称的搜寻与识别对于理解其分类并限制其物理起源至关重要。然而,许多 eFXTs 仍因缺乏及时跟随观测而缺乏安全的分类。我们系统搜索公开的光学survey数据和瞬时数据库(包括 Zwicky Transient Facility、ZTF 和 Transient Name Server、TNS),寻找 EP 检测的 eFXT 候选对象的光学对称。本文描述了我们的计划并报告首次结果。具体而言,我们将 eFXT EP240506a 识别为与 UV/光学对称 AT 2024ofs 相关联。利用 VLT 对其宿主galaxy进行光谱测定,得到红移 z=0.120±0.002z = 0.120 \pm 0.002。通过结合归档survey数据和早期多波段观测,我们发现 AT~2024ofs 的辐射率和光度曲线演化与核心坍缩超新星起源一致。从可探测性模拟,我们估计 EP240506a 类事件的局部事件率密度 ρ0=8.83.9+21.2 yr1Gpc3\rho_{0}=8.8^{+21.2}_{-3.9}\ \mathrm{yr^{-1}\, Gpc^{-3}},并据此纠正完备性后,EP 检测的与超新星相关 X 射线瞬时的完备率约为 3636--78 yr1 Gpc378\ \mathrm{yr^{-1}\ Gpc^{-3}}。我们的结果表明 EP 能够揭示核心坍缩超新星的快速高能辐射,并凸显了及时跟随未来 eFXT 事件的关键重要性。
