比较了H、Ne、Pt和Ta的理论总能或实验压力-体积测量的状态方程公式的精度。这涵盖了地球中矿物和挥发物所发现的整个压缩范围。发现Vinet方程最精确。讨论了不同状态方程公式行为的起源。结果表明,通过检查状态方程拟合的残差可以检测微妙的相变。使用该程序,在高压下发现了Ta电子结构的变化,以及H中可能存在的新转变。
