Eichten--Preskill模型中手征费米子的缺失

摘要
我们证明了Eichten和Preskill提出的从格点获得手征费米子理论的模型会发生自发对称性破缺。此外，费米子在相图的任何地方都表现为类Dirac费米子，没有空间容纳未加倍Weyl费米子。一个密切相关的Higgs-Yukawa模型的相图与Smit--Swift模型相似，后者也不会产生手征费米子。这些结果对手征费米子出现的原始方案提出了严重质疑。
