绕 0.2 太阳质量星体的轨道上行的巨型行星

摘要

行星形成模型表明,围绕低质量恒星形成巨型行星的难度显著增加,这与原始星盘质量随恒星质量的比例关系有关。因此,发现围绕此类低质量恒星的巨型行星,对巨型行星形成过程提出了强烈的制约。本文报道了发现的一颗绕 0.207±0.011M0.207 \pm 0.011 M_{\odot} 星体轨道上行的行星。该行星 TOI-6894 b 具有质量和半径为 MP=0.168±0.022MJ(53.4±7.1M)M_P = 0.168 \pm 0.022 M_J (53.4 \pm 7.1 M_{\oplus})RP=0.855±0.022RJR_P = 0.855 \pm 0.022 R_J,且可能包含 12±2M12 \pm 2 M_{\oplus} 的金属成分。TOI-6894 b 的发现凸显了需要更好地理解巨型行星形成机制以及其发生的原始星盘环境的重要性。极深的 transit(17% 深度)使 TOI-6894 b 成为可被观测大气特征化的最可及的系外行星巨型之一,这将是完全解释该非凡系统形成历史以及大气甲烷化学研究的关键。
