描述了一种用于检测和测量图像不可分辨的近距离双星系统的技术。该方法基于对图像惯性张量矩的分析，可确定双星光度比与角分离平方的乘积。通过与参考星的图像比较，可消除点扩散函数的内在不对称性。可使用多次曝光增加信噪比，而无需图像对齐。给出了一个对拟合测量矮白矮星系统 G77-61 的示例。
