第二颗星系色坐标群：从白矮星到 M 星的桥梁

摘要
我们报告在 SDSS g-r 与 u-g 色-色图中发现的一组星体坐标，这组坐标连接了白矮星和 M 矮星的颜色。尽管其与主星系坐标之间的对比度仅为约 1:2300，但这一此前未被识别的特征包括来自 SDSS 数据释放版 1 中的 863 颗星体。该特征的位置和形状与由简单双星模型（由白矮星和 M 矮星组成）的预测相符，后者中各成分的光度比控制了沿该双星系统坐标的 position。对这 47 个对象的 SDSS DR1 光谱强有力地支持了该模型。推导出的白矮星成分的绝对星等-颜色分布与 Bergeron 等人 (1995) 的模型良好吻合。
